Size Right®
The Size Right®is a precise cylinder sizer designed for efficiency and safety. The Size Right® may be used with a variety of products such as corn, popcorn, peanuts, sunflowers, cereals, beans, vegetable seeds, grass seed, rice, soybeans or plastic pellets.
Many operators expect results too soon from their gravity separators. When an adjustment is made, wait at least two minutes before deciding whether it has made any improvement. The reason for this is that because of the volume of material on the deck, a certain amount of time is required for the entire
deck surface to adjust to the new conditions.
Do not attempt to operate the machine without an understanding of why it works. The more a person understands any situation the better he is able to cope with it. Your gravity separator makes a separation based on a particle's weight and its resistance to air flow. Proper adjustment of all the controls is necessary to obtain the best separation. Remember that your Oliver Gravity has five
adjustments - feed rate, end raise, side tilt, eccentric speed and air control.
Oliver Manufacturing Company, Inc. has announced the completion of an agreement for the purchase of the Gustafson SIZE RIGHT Precision Sizer product line from Gustafson LLC, a subsidiary of Bayer CropScience LLP.
The SIZE RIGHT is a precise cylinder particle sizer designed for efficiency and safety. The machine is used to grade particles by their physical dimension of width and thickness, and is used on a variety of products such as corn, popcorn, peanuts, sunflowers, cereals, beans, vegetable seed, grass seed, rice, soybeans and plastic pellets.
This addition gives us the ability to further extend our capacility to provide separation solutions for many different applications, according to Thomas Helman, Oliver Manufacturing Company's sales manager. Our focus is particle separations, and we have a tremendous presence in the market. The SIZE RIGHT allows us to expand this presence with another high quality product line.
The closing date for the transaction was August 31, 2005 and Oliver expects to have full manufacturing capability by September 15, 2005 or sooner. Both companies have spent considerable time planning this transition to make it as seamless as possible.
Oliver has the core capabilities to design, manufacture and service the existing Gustafson products, and the engineering and applications expertise to develop product enhancements and extensions in the future.
